The Kansas Department of Transportation will be delaying Phase Two of the I-35 pavement project in Olathe, KS.

The suspension will be in effect for the entire 2015-16 winter. This means that traffic on northbound I-35 will travel on the newly reconstructed lanes. KDOT cites that the amount of rainfall we’ve had this year is the reason for the delay.

When Phase 1 is finished around Labor Day, the Santa Fe Street and I-35 to southbound I-35 entrance ramp and the southbound I-35 to Old U.S. Highway 56 exit ramp will be reopened to traffic.

The delay puts the completion date for Phase Two in September 2016.
