March is Brain Injury Awareness Month. This month thousands of people will take to the streets in walks and fundraisers dedicated to helping and remembering people with brain injury.

When people think of brain injury, a lot of times they may think of football players or stunt doubles - the types of injuries most talked about in the media.

But brain injuries are quite common and can happen to anyone. A lot of times they happen because of another person. At our Kansas City personal injury firm, we come up against brain injury causes that run the gamut:

  • Birth injuries
  • Car accidents
  • Medical malpractice
  • Slip and fall head injuries
  • Truck accidents
  • Assault
  • Motorcycle accidents

There are many other causes of brain injury too, of course; but part of the purpose of the month is to raise awareness about the variety of causes so people can be well prepared and perhaps more empathetic to those who suffer.

If you or a loved one has a brain injury caused by one of the accidents above, our attorneys can help you get compensation. Contact our Kansas City bankruptcy firm today to get started with a free conversation.
