The National Safety Council observes National Safety Month during the entire month of June to highlight a number of safety topics to help better protect our families, our homes, and our communities. The four topics for 2019 are Hazard Recognition, Slips, Trips and Falls, Fatigue, and Impairment.

Week 1: Hazard Recognition

National Safety Month Hazard Recognition

Hazards to our safety and health are everywhere. Learning to identify a hazard and how to deal with it may be crucial to protecting you, your family, or a co-worker.

Week 2: Slips, Trips and Falls

National Safety Month Slip and Falls

Slips, trips, and falls are 3 of the leading causes of injury to people in the workplace and an injury can have a lasting impact on the health of an individual.

Week 3:  Fatigue

 National Safety Month Fatigue Awareness

Sleep is crucial to the safety and wellness of an individual and can impact one’s level of alertness.

Week 4: Impairment

National Safety Month Drug and Alcohol Impairment

Alcohol, cannabis, sleep deprivation, and prescription & recreation drugs are among the leading causes of workplace impairment and can result in devastating consequences to a business and its employees.
